What are seconds?
Seconds are minimally flawed pieces sold at a discount.
Flaws could include small cracks in the wood, planer snipe, or bubbles in the finish. These items will always be sold structurally stable.
Quality Control
How do I decide what is sold as a second?
I ask the following questions for every item to determine its quality.
- Is it functional?
- Is it safe?
- Is it beautiful?
If an item is structurally stable and I can still admire it's beauty, then I'm happy to share these items with you for a reduced price.

The first design of this peg rail had a keyhole slot (rather than screws to mount the rail to the wall). The slot appears a bit wobbly on the backside, due to the router wandering. It does not affect functionality or aesthetic, as the keyhole slot is invisible once mounted to a wall.
